Technical support information

When reporting a conversion problem, include the browser name/version, operating system, source format, approximate source dimensions, selected output format, selected responsive width and the exact error shown by AutoWebP. If the issue involves rotation, mirroring or alignment, also state whether the source came from a phone/camera or contains EXIF/TIFF orientation metadata.

Codec-related reports

If the problem involves AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, TIFF or GIF, state whether the app was online for the first use of that codec and whether the PWA had previously cached the relevant resources.

Do not send private source images unnecessarily

The conversion engine is designed to process source images locally. Do not email confidential or private source images unless they are genuinely required to reproduce a support problem and you are authorised to disclose them.

Supported production scope

AutoWebP is a still-image conversion and responsive-image production tool. It is not currently represented as a camera-RAW developer, layered PSD editor, vector authoring application or animation-preserving transcoder.
